Endlich Freitag.... endlich Wochenende...aber in Norddeutschland ist schon wieder Sturm angesagt.

Finally Friday....and weekend...but the weather forecast announced storm again in North Germany.Gestern haben Luna und ich schon wieder ein Päckchen bekommen. Diesmal von Miss Peach und meiner lieben Freundin Karla aus Amerika. All diese schönen Dinge sind für mich.
Yesterday Luna and me received a package again. It is from Miss Peach and my nice friend Karla. All those wonderful things are for me.

Karla hat diese schöne Karte für mich gestempelt. Karla hand stamped that beautiful card for me.
Und... das war eine Überraschung, sie hat auch dieses niedliche Katzenarmband für mich gemacht. Auf dem Bild ganz oben könnt ihr den tollen Katzenverschluß besser sehen. And ...what a surprise, she made that lovely bracelet for me. Karla, I love it !


Diese schönen Dinge hat Luna bekommen. Luna received these great things. A cat toy with feathers, that funny cube and cat treats.
Sie mag die amerikanischen Katzenleckerchen und teilt sie mit den anderen Katzen. She loves these American cat treats and share the delicious hearts with her cat sisters.

Mein Päckchen ist da ! My package is here!

Heute ist endlich mein "Valentine Heart Swap" Päckchen angekommen. Meine Partnerin Dede aus Californien hat tolle Sachen für mich zusammen gepackt.

Today my Valentine Heart Swap package finally arrived me. My Swap partner Dede from California has gathered wonderful things for me. Ich habe Stoffe und alte amerikanische Kissenhüllen mit Häkelborte bekommen. Kleine weiße Tauben, eine Seidenblume und ein Tag mit Herz drauf. I received wonderful fabrics and Pillowcases with crochet Border. Small white pigeons, silk flower and a Tag with a heart on it.
Ein hübsches Kästchen mit meinem Anfangsbuchstaben . A nice box with the first point of my name . I love that glitter.
Innen liegt ein süßes japanisches Pärchen. Inside is a sweet japanese pair.
...und dieses niedliche Schälchen mit Blumendecor im Vintage Stil. ....and this beautiful vintage bowl . That fits good to my vintage cups, Dede

Letzte Woche habe ich euch vonSteffens Triops Experiment erzählt. Nun ist Sonntag der letzte Krebs eingegangen.....er hat wirklich lange gelebt...und ich habe schon meine Fensterbank in gedanken dekoriert....aber der letzte Triops hat uns etliche "Triopsbabies" hinterlassen .
Last week I show you the Triops of Steffen. On sunday died finally the last crabs....but not without leaving us a lot of small "crabs babies"....
Das Experiment geht also weiter ( davon stand aber nichts im Buch) .

Luna`s new scratching and climbing tree !
I took this photos yesterday in the early morning. Our cats love to use this acacia in the front yard for scratching. The acacia is cut short in autumn .
Yesterday morning decided Luna to climp on the tree top .
I think she wanted to climb on the roof near the tree.
Luna tried and tried to jump on the roof but then she decided to climb down again.
I was so glad that she not climbed on the roof. It is too much dangerous on the roof. I´m not sure if she could climb down there again.

The photos are a little bit dark today because it was early in the morning and I had to use the flash .

Jugend forscht Young research

Ich wollte euch diese Lebewesen eigentlich schon lange zeigen. Es sind Triops oder auch Dinokrebse genannt. Steffen hat ein Buch über Triops bekommen und es waren gleich Eier dabei. Steffen received a Book about Triops with Eggs. He loves to research everything. Steffen ist unser kleiner Tierforscher. Er liebt alle Tiere und besonders diese kleinen Eier haben es ihm angetan. Man muß eine Tüte Krebseier in destilliertes Wasser tun und abwarten. Diese sind ziemlich schnell geschlüpft und mitterweile 6 Wochen alt. Sie leben momentan in einem kleinen Aquarium auf der Küchenfensterbank. He has done the eggs in distilled Water and a few days later are small crabs slipt. Now they are 6 weeks old. the crabs live in an aquarium on the kitchen window-sill.
Die Triops können maximal 90 Tage alt werden und werden überraschend groß. Leider ist gestern der Vorletzte gestorben... Nun lebt nur noch einer, aber der ist putzmunter. Wir haben nicht gedacht, dass das Experiment so lange dauert. Ich hätte schon gerne meine Fensterbank wieder für Blumen genutzt, aber man darf den Forschungsdrang der Kinder ja nicht unterbinden. Es kann ja höchstens noch ca. 45 Tage dauern.
The Triops can live 90 days. Unfortunately died one of the last two crabs yesterday. I would like to use my window-sill for flowers again, but ,okay, I will support the young researcher...perhaps for the next 45 days.
Ich habe mir stattdessen einen Strauss Osterglocken gegönnt. Sie riechen ja immer etwas streng, wenn sie aufblühen, aber es sieht schön aus, besonders, wo es doch mal wieder regnet.
I have bought a bouquet daffodils. We have rain again and the flowers looks beautiful in this grey weather.
Außerdem habe ich mir ein neues Bastelbuch zugelegt. Ich konnte diesen bunten Bildern nicht wiederstehen. Gerade Ostern darf es bunt sein. I bought this book to make paper craft for easter. I love those colorful pictures for the windows.
Diese Hasegirlande werde ich für das Küchenfenster basteln. ..auch wenn die Krebse dann noch leben solten. I will make this rabbit-garland for the kitchenwindow. Although there are the triops crabs live until easter.
Luna ist das alles ziemlich egal, solange sie ihren Katzenfernseher (Aquarium) behalten darf.
Luna is not interested in everything, if she can keep her cats TV (aquarium).

Anton is moved

If you want to read more Cats on Tuesday stories link to Gattina .Luna and Frieda are sad. Yesterday moved her friend Anton into a new house in another town.
You know Anton our neighbors cat? I posted sometimes photos from it.
Anton comes before 4 1/2 years in the neigborhouse. He comes from a shelter as he was a small kitten.
I have often fed him when his humans had to work or had their holidays. Anton still knew our old cat Dixie. He shared the same garden and yard with our cats. He was a little bit piece of our (cat) family.
Goodbye Anton and have a good time in your new house !!! We come to visit you there !

Sonntagsbilder Sunday pictures

Heute hatten wir das schönste Sonntagswetter und wir haben beschlossen, mal wieder einen ausgiebigen Waldspaziergang zu machen. Today we have wonderful Sunday weather and we decided to go out for a forest walk.Auch wenn Luna eine amerikanische Waldkatze ist, darf sie natürlich "nicht" mit. When Luna is an American forest cat (Maine Coon) but she is not allowed to come with us.
Die Kinder haben sich gefreut. Im Wald kann man allerlei erleben. Dieser Wald hat besonders gute Wege, weil er viel von Reitern benutzt wird. The kids are happy. They love to walk in the forest.
Patch durfte auf jeden Fall mit. Hier können wir ihn ohne Leine laufen lassen. Patch may also come with us to the forest walk. Here he can run without leash.
Und so vorfrühlingshaft sieht der Wald bei Sonnenschein aus... This is the forest with sunny spring weather.
Einen ebenso schönen Wochenanfang an alle !!! A wonderful week beginning to all !!!

Valentins Tag

Luna ist nach ihrer anstrengenden Vogeljagd so müde, dass sie vor ihrem Katzen TV (Aquarium) eingeschlafen ist.
Luna is asleep in front of the cats tv ( aquarium) She is tired because of her bird hunting yesterday.
Ich habe wieder Post von Karla/Miss Peach bekommen. Sie hat mir eine tolle Karte handgestempelt und gebastelt. Sogar der Umschlag hat einen Stempel bekommen.
I got a letter from Karla and Miss Peach again. She handstamped that beautiful card for me. There is a sweet stamped motive on the envelope too.
Dazu bekam ich leckeren Himbeertee und diese selbstgemachten Ohrringe. Sind die nicht süß ?
She send me that delicious raspberry tea and those sweet self made earrings. Is that cute?
Wer genau hinsieht kann die kleinen Katzen erkennen. Auch die sind gestempelt und mit dem Plastik geschrumpft. Diese Basteltechnik kannte ich bisher noch nicht. Can you see the small cats on the earrings. It is stamped on shrinked plastic. I don´t knew that technique before.
Thank you Karla !!! I´m so happy to get those lovely things.
Hier noch zum Schluß einen kleinen Frühlingsgruß !!! Diese Blumenkind aus dem Erzgebirge habe ich von meiner Mutter zum Geburtstag bekommen.
Finally a spring greeting picture. I got that flower child to my birthday from my mother. It is a famous craft from the ore mountains in Germany. It is a part of my new spring decoration.

Cats on Tuesday

Since 4 days we have spring weather here in North Germany. The cats love it to be outside in the garden. The bird also love it to fly around and the cats try to catch the birds from the high place in our garden.
Here you can see Luna on the roof of the carport. She tries to catch the blackbirds.
The carport roof is not high enough...
Luna jumps on the treehouse...
...it is very high...but the blackbird can fly ...
Luna climbs from the kids house to the swing bar to reach the bird...
...but where is the bird ?

I can´t see any birds here.
Oh, there Luna, look there in the sky ...
I love it to be a cat, but sometimes I wish I could fly....
